Welcome to our Data Convergence Hub. It provides a multiple-source, through-time picture of what is really happening in your world.

For the vast majority of businesses, integrating data analytics into their business models is daunting. Companies and directors of all levels and sizes are having to learn and adapt fast. With Conjura, bringing this technology on board is both painless and liberating. This page will take you through how it would be to work with us, why the technology is so valuable, and explain the advantages of using our platform from a commercial point of view.

How it works

Three simple stages to get you up and running in 8-12 weeks

If you work with us, we’ll take you through a fairly simple three-stage process that should, in most cases, have you changing outcomes across your business within three months.

  • Phase One is about applying our consultancy experience and analytics experience to your specific situation. We’ll explore how data can change the outcome for your business.
  • Phase Two is all about the data, where we utilise the results of that work to configure our pioneering Data Convergence Hub to clean, join and reengineer the data so it is in perfect shape to generate the insights that will really drive your business.
  • Phase Three is where we build and train you on the visualisation tools and how to access the data for analytics. Then we set up our ongoing relationship. Learn how to read what the data is telling you, incorporate data into everyday and strategic decisions.

Clients tell us that the process is fun, engaging and enlightening. We’re completely flexible: we can adapt to your size, level of knowledge, IT capability and business needs. From a full managed service across the customer lifecycle to self-serve access to the Data Convergence Hub for large internal analytics teams, it’s your choice. Here’s how it works.

Phase 1: Customisation
We apply consultancy expertise to uncover opportunities
Phase 1: Customisation
We apply consultancy expertise to uncover opportunities

There is no cookie-cutter approach to data: every business is unique, has its own needs, capabilities and opportunities. Conjura will run a workshop designed to help us understand where we can make a difference for you. In it we will:

  • Involve all key stakeholders
  • Evaluate the state of your data, analytics and reporting
  • Establish your aims
  • Learn your business model, commercial issues and ‘pain points’ in depth
  • Uncover what’s working and what’s not
  • Apply analytics and consulting experience to your current situation
  • Establish which data from which sources will offer the most potential
  • Share insights on possible opportunities
  • Provide guidance and education
  • Establish all requirements and agree key deliverables
Phase 2: Implementation
Data Convergence Hub, pioneering technology unique to Conjura
Phase 2: Implementation
Data Convergence Hub, pioneering technology unique to Conjura

Our Data Convergence Hub is what enables foresight. It cleans, joins, re-engineers and formats data from a large range of sources, to prove a more accurate picture of what is really happening.

How does it work in practice?

  • Simply authenticate Conjura to your cloud platforms and provide access to your internal data sources. Leave the rest to us: the Data Convergence Hub automatically connects and retrieves data from each source
  • Conjura then creates customised and automated processes to clean and standardise data into a curated data model
  • As a last step, we ensure the completeness and accuracy of the data model by carrying out thorough, robust reconciliation with the source data
  • That’s it. We’re ready to start changing outcomes
  • Large companies with their own analytics teams can contract us for the Data Convergence Hub data output only. We simply hand the finalised data over to your teams – turning your inconsistent cloud data into a clean dataset ready to use. We do the heavy lifting, so you can concentrate on extracting value. Take it away
  • We offer a choice of data storage layer options including Amazon Redshift, Microsoft Azure, PostgreSQL, Google Big Query and Snowflake
Phase 3: Application
Your information, the way you want it
Phase 3: Application
Your information, the way you want it
  • We’ll custom-build a suite of dashboards to your specific needs, collaborating all the way
  • Our experts will work with you to provide guidance on how best to implement the results, and your teams will receive full training of how to use the information and dashboard
  • We will generate automated reports
  • We normally create daily email updates to key stakeholders with a business overview
  • The Data Convergence Hub can provide a source of reliable and clean data for your own analysts to use
  • Data visualisation: we work with Tableau, Qlik, Looker and Power BI
  • Together we can look at designing and building predictive algorithms such as lead scoring, customer lifetime prediction and churn propensity
  • Where other systems run with a sometimes considerable time lag, we provide daily imports/outputs updates to give you the advantage of speed. See fast, act fast
  • You’ll be assigned a dedicated business analyst to ensure your needs are met over time. We’ll be calling to check how you’re getting on, to provide advice on data strategy and to make sure you’re getting the most from your data

To which data sources does the Data Convergence Hub connect?

We’re already integrated with many of the major cloud data sources: web analytics, ERP systems, payment gateways, eCommerce platforms, CRM systems, ad platforms, email, internal databases and even offline comms. If we don’t already have it, we have the capability to build it.

Buy vs build?

The issues explained, the economic case: what makes the Data Convergence Hub special

It takes barely a second or two to say it and it sounds so easy: “The Data Convergence Hub cleans, corroborates and unites data from a large number of sources…” But this work is serious heavy lifting, and is only possible after investing many thousands of hours of painstaking coding and expertise. What follows are a few paragraphs on the technical problem, why this heavy lifting is worth it, and whether you should attempt to build it yourself.

5x Cost saving vs home build
12 vs 52 Be operational in less than 12 weeks vs over a year

The opportunity

Suddenly, the old world in which all we knew about the customer: a name, an address, an email, Facebook and Twitter if you were lucky, and perhaps the last purchase… were suddenly augmented with advertising data, website activity, demographics, sales pipeline data, customer data. First ad click, last ad click, purchase history, discounts, usage metrics, and on and on. An ocean. People got extremely excited. Data – you’ve heard it, for sure – was the new oil.

The problem

The problem was, and still is, that everyone stores their data in different ways. All of the different sources connect to the world through differing APIs. Take the simplest of things: the Americans write their date and month in a different format to Europeans. Tiny mistakes in labelling could render things worthless. Everyone knew the data was there. But how to get at it, and make it useful… another story. Data needed accurate tagging and verifying before you could do anything with it. And this is immensely time consuming. Which means costly.

Data Convergence Hub

This is the technological problem that we have solved. Our Data Convergence Hub is able to quickly and reliably make data from a great number of sources usable and compatible. We do the heavy lifting. You get to jump on our shoulders. All of our hard-earned experience, the learning, the refinements and real testing in the real world: for you.

DIY Hub?

It’s one of the most frequent questions we get asked. Can’t we just build this ourselves? And the short answer is yes, you can. Here’s how: build and configure your data layer, define and build your cloud service connectors, design the schema and cloud infrastructure configuration, transform the unclean data to a coherent, consistent dataset, test its veracity and then maintain the infrastructure. Depending on the complexity, such a build will cost up at least half a million pounds. The annual maintenance will be a multiple of the Conjura cost, with pitfalls; APIs are continually changing, requirements change, things break and need constant monitoring. It will take you a lot of time to build, a year at the very least, so you’ll have to wait to see returns. And you may fail. The short answer has every chance of turning into the interminably long, wrong answer.

Use Conjura, on the other hand, and you will gain access to a tried and tested platform that has already received more than £3m worth of investment, and continues to benefit from new research and thinking. No playing catch-up: our Data Convergence Warehouse keeps our customers at the cutting edge of data analytics.

Conjura offers, typically, a ten times cost saving vs a home build. You have the added benefit of our consultancy experience and insight. You have guaranteed reliability. You will be generating revenue by being operational far earlier. You will avoid key man risk internally. Your IT teams will have the time to invest in other development projects and the savings to spend on other strategic initiatives. So, when the question is put to us, our advice is always take the world class route. It’s your organisation’s future.
